    Position: Children's Librarian (Library Assistant)
    Library: Van Horn Public Library - Pine Island

    Description: Description: Under the guidance of the Library Director oversees operation of Library in Director's absence. Develops, coordinates and presents children's activities and programs; including school year story time and the summer reading program. Collection development for preschool thru middle readers; promotes reading and library use among children; writes newspaper column.

    Desired Qualifications: Experience using Internet and Microsoft Office; experience planning and presenting children's programs; knowledge of children's literature and collection development methods; excellent communication skills required; library experience preferred.
