A wide variety of proposals were funded, including author talks, music and dance performances, theatre workshops and more!</p>
<p>Van Horn Public Library in Pine Island working in concert with the Zumbrota Public Library will receieve $10,681 for a proffessional muralist to draw and paint a library themed mural in the hallway leading down the Children's Library. The muralist will provide presentations to the community that will discuss his artistic process and answer questions from participants.</p>
<p>A survey for VHPL users will be put up shortly so that you can contribute your ideas for images to be displayed in the hallway. Zumbrota Public Library will also be presenting a similar program with the same muralist.</p>

<p>To search all the SELCO libraries and not just Pine Island perform a search in the query bar and then look to the right hand side of your screen. Choose the drop down box that says Pine Island and scroll up to All Locations.</p>

<p>The annual adult reading program is back at Pine Island!&nbsp; This year we will play Book Bingo again. The program will run for 10 weeks. Patrons may sign up beginning Monday January 11th. The first 20 patrons who sign up will receive a 2010 book lovers calender. When readers have completed a bingo on a card they may enter their name in for the weekly drawing. At the end of the 10 weeks there will be a drawing for a few larger prizes.</p>
